The history of Uncle Big Time
1995 through Present
1995
Uncle Big Time is established, featuring main members Paul, Charlie, Tom, and Austin. Messing around, making noise and punk shit ensues. Some crude punk/metal demos are recorded.
1996-1997
Austin moves away to school. Messing around continues with the three remaining members, along with more crude demos. Around this time, experimentation with Industrial music begins.
1998
The Industrial metal demo "For Real" is recorded, featuring cover art by Austin. Charlie and Paul make a custom built electronic drum kit. Lezlie and Collman join the live lineup.
1999
UBT has it's first live performance of punk/metal with live electronic drums, featuring Paul, Charlie, Tom, Lezlie, and Collman.
2000
Lezlie and Collman part ways with the band. UBT becomes a full fledged Industrial/Metal band. Paul and Charlie record the first CD, "The Sound and the Fury," featuring cover art by Austin.
2001
The songs from the 1998 "For Real" demo are re-recorded and become the bands second CD, featuring the original art by Austin. UBT plays it's first show as an Industrial/Metal band, featuring Paul and Charlie, at the 2001 Pepperell Battle of the Bands, taking first place out of seven bands.
2002
Live shows continue. Tom returns to the lineup.
2003
Charlie and Paul revamp the custom built electronic drum kit, and bring it back into the live setup. Live shows continue. Sean joins the live lineup.
2004
More live shows. Preparations underway for the 3rd UBT CD.
2005
UBT has its most productive year in regards to playing shows, finally breaking into the Boston and Providence areas. Third album, titled The Coldest Night of Winter released. UBT celebrates its 10th birthday.
